Report & pictures by Steve King
Thanks to the effervescent drive of Alan Young, around 30 villagers travelled to Peterborough Dog track for a new experience for all but a handful.
Contrary to the popular view a night at the dogs can actually be quite refined with Indoor tiered seating or you venture outside to taste what I suspect is traditional view of the dogs racing.
1st race was at 7:30pm with subsequent races at 15 minute intervals until 10:30pm.
6 dogs per race that seemed very keen to get at the mechanical hare.

Betting was not compulsory but most had a little flutter and nobody came home without their shirt.
Not sure about some the regulars who where placing large wads of notes on the action.
